Alex Chan, RHU, CHS, CFSB, CPCA, EPC, CFP, CLU
Certified Financial Planner & Chartered Life Underwriter
Alex was born in Hong Kong and moved to Vancouver, BC at the age of two. Soon after attending Simon Fraser University, he entered into the Life Insurance Business as a career agent with Manulife Financial. Having had a successful start with many Million Dollar Round Table level production years in the agency system, Alex joined an independent Managing General Agency (MGA) as an advisor, manager and later as a partner.
He is licensed with the Insurance Councils of BC and Alberta and IDC WIN is a member of The Financial Advisors Association of Canada (ADVOCIS), as well as the Canadian Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (CAILBA), Conference of Advanced Life Underwriters (CALU), Independent Financial Brokers of Canada (IFBC), and the Registered Deposit Brokers Association (RDBA).
Dayna Dittmar
Licensed Client Service Advisor & Marketing
Dayna has been working with Alex for over 10 years looking after client service for our life & health insurance, group benefits, travel insurance and wealth clients. She is also active in marketing and sales support for our team. Dayna is licensed and is working on building her own clientele through mentorship from Alex and his 30+ years of experience. When not working Dayna enjoys redecorating their home, walking and training her dog, trying out new places to dine or travelling with her husband.
Samuel Wong, BBA

Samuel is a financial advisor with deep experience in Canada’s insurance and financial services industry. Over the years, he has worked alongside and advised high-performing advisors and business leaders—supporting practice growth, delivering strategic insights, and helping clients unlock greater financial potential.
With a strong foundation in insurance and wealth planning, Samuel takes a growth-oriented approach to advising business owners, incorporated professionals, and families. He helps clients build and protect wealth through practical planning and advanced tax strategies that align with long-term goals.
Samuel’s work often involves insurance-based solutions that support tax efficiency, succession planning, and intergenerational wealth transfer—turning complex planning needs into clear, actionable strategies.
Outside the office, Samuel enjoys golf, experimenting with elevated home cooking, and spending time outdoors with his two dogs, who keep life fun and balanced.
Cameron Yee-Chan
Life Insurance Advisor
Cameron Yee-Chan is a licensed life insurance advisor, with responsibilities that include providing up-to-date knowledge so that each and every client can make a more informed financial decision when it comes to the importance of life insurance.
His philosophy is always to ensure that each client is treated with the utmost trust, honesty, and respect that they deserve in order to build and maintain life-long relationships. By using techniques that he has gained, Cameron will work with you to ensure that the product being offered will always be the right match. Clients’ needs will always be the number one highest priority.
Cameron was born in Vancouver, and although he enjoys travelling all across the globe, he’s always happy to come back home to Vancouver. After high school, he enrolled in the economics program at Douglas College. Soon after, Cameron transferred to Simon Fraser University, where he studied Computer Science and Business. He is a firm believer in the values of education and will take relevant classes in order to keep up to date with current trends. Amongst all his schooling, he is still able to find time to pursue his favourite pastimes like wrenching on his cars, playing a round of golf, or heading up to Whistler to ski.
Barry Greenfield

I have always loved my job, my career, my journey as a financial advisor.
I entered the field in 1978 at Sun Life of Canada. In 1979, age of 28, I won the prestigious ‘Sun Life Rookie of the Year’. In my early days, I focused on helping Clients protect their homes in the event of an untimely death, and mortgage insurance. I soon increased the arrows in my quiver by offering all Life Insurance products, including being the first in BC to offer Critical Illness Insurance. In 1980, I won the ‘Dick Penn Award’, for best rookie, all companies in BC. My business grew. It grew slowly. I had no desire to be anything but happy, balanced, and respected. No wish to rule the corporate roost. Through my 48 years at the helm of Barry Greenfield Financial Services Inc. I developed a strong bond, a real love, with my clients. Winning more awards for service and consistency. I made a satisfactory living, and I had a joyful day, most days. I loved the walk.
Now, 2025, age 74, it’s time for me to slow down. Focus on new music. My first book, ‘My Journey to Blue Sky’, is selling well globally. I’m on a new adventure, again!
I am trying to repair, with the help of Lori and Alex Chan, some serious health issues.
My clients mean the world to me. My friends for decades. We have been partners in LIFE for all these years. I thank you all.
Robert (Bob) Astop, CA, CMA
Retired
Bob built a career spanning more than 50 years in the accounting industry and over 25 years in financial services, where he was known for his dedication and client-first approach. He retired in the summer of 2025, and Alex Chan and his team are now proudly continuing to serve and support his clients.
